Neighbourhood Watch Structure

Area Coordinators

This person is responsible for the overseeing of zones within the Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) area, and to ensure that the zones work with one another. The area coordinator should also communicate with the Police Liaison Officer, Officer-in-Charge of their local police station and the DCPC when required. Whilst the duties are essentially a coordinating role, they also assist in gathering information for the area newsletter, and arrange for the distribution of official printed material and information.

Zone Coordinator

These persons are responsible for the cooperation of block coordinators within their zone. They liaise with area and block coordinators, assist with the distribution of printed material, loan property engravers, and distribute crime prevention information and NHW newsletters.

Block Coordinator

This person is responsible for approximately 8-10 homes in their own block. They liaise with zone coordinators, gather information for the newsletter, and assist with the distribution of printed material and information. It is envisaged that these duties will only take approximately two hours of your time per month. This is not a great deal of time to help your family, friends and local community.
